Our streaming video experience includes architecting and delivering a light-weight Linux based service that simultaneous archives Motion JPEG (MJPEG), MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 digital video streams while supporting simultaneous seemless real-time and historical playback with parallel video stream transcoding for long-term archiving. The seemless real-time / historical video playback was integrated into Windows COM objects for playback on an Internet Explorer DHTML / AJAX based web application managing the remote Linux based appliance interfaced through an Apache module extension to the Network Video Recorder daemon.
